## Formula and example

Each item is allocated equally to its assigned people; blank assignment means everyone. Tax and tip are allocated equally or in proportion to item totals. Two 15.00 meals with 3.00 tax and 6.00 tip total 39.00, or 19.50 each.

## Limits

Use unique names, one per line; item assignments use comma-separated names, so avoid commas in names. Enter tax and tip as amounts in the same currency, not percentages. Integer-cent allocation preserves the exact bill total; tied leftover cents follow listed order. A positive item subtotal is needed when tax or tip is nonzero. All processing is local; inputs are not stored or transmitted.
