# Receipt generator

Create a payment receipt with items, tax, discount, and amount paid, then print or download it.

## Instructions

1. Enter your values in the labeled fields. Add or remove entries as needed.

2. Optionally open Business logo and choose a PNG, JPEG, or WebP image. It appears in the document preview and printed page and downloaded PDF.

3. Review the live document preview, including its labeled table and totals.

4. Copy or print your result. Select Download PDF to save a file locally.

## Formula and example

Line totals round to cents; subtract discount from subtotal before applying tax. Compare amount paid with the total to show change or balance remaining. A 10.00 purchase paid with 20.00 has 10.00 change.

## Limits

This is a user-entered payment record and does not confirm, process, or verify payment. Use one currency with two decimal places and one tax rate after discount. Review applicable receipt requirements. PDFs contain rendered images of the text; Print / Save as PDF is also available. Up to 100 items. Inputs stay in this page and are not saved or transmitted. All processing is local; inputs are not stored or transmitted. Optional logos are processed locally, are not uploaded or saved, and must be at most 5 MB and 20 million pixels. Print the document at normal scale and turn off browser headers and footers.
