# Word unscrambler

## Instructions

1. Enter letters in any order, then select Unscramble.

2. Browse words grouped by length, longest first. Words of the same length are alphabetical.

3. Select Copy words to copy every match, including words beyond the initial display.

## Matching and example

A word matches when each letter occurs no more often in the word than in your input. Words can use some or all letters. Letter case is ignored; only A–Z letters are used. There are no wildcard characters.

For listen, six-letter results include enlist, inlets, listen, silent, and tinsel. Shorter matches include line, list, and sit.

## Dictionary coverage

Uses ESDB/SCOWL size 70 with American and British spellings and common variants. Includes inflections and some uncommon words. Only alphabetic whole-word entries are included; capitalized proper names, abbreviations, hyphenated words, and apostrophe forms are excluded, with a and i as the only one-letter results. Accented entries are converted to A–Z. Coverage is not exhaustive and may differ from word-game dictionaries. Up to 100 words per length are shown initially; select Show more to see further matches.
