Formula and example
Daily kWh = watts ÷ 1000 × hours per day × active duty cycle / 100. Cost = kWh × your electricity rate. A 1000 W appliance running 2 hours daily at 0.15 per kWh costs 0.30 daily, 9.00 per 30-day month, and 109.50 per 365-day year.
Limits and assumptions
Use the currency of your electricity rate. Wattage is assumed constant while active; duty cycle estimates the portion of scheduled time spent running. Excludes standby usage, fixed fees, taxes, seasonal changes, and time-of-use or tiered rates. Monthly and yearly figures assume the same daily usage. All processing is local; inputs are not stored or transmitted.
